This is Stable Cottage 1 at Moor Farm. It’s one of a row of converted barns on our working beef farm in Foxley, inland from the north Norfolk coast.
The cottage sleeps three people. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s got a three star rating, so it’s comfortable and clean but don’t expect anything luxurious. Everything’s on the ground floor, which is handy.
You’ve got your own little patio area out the front. The main reason people come here is the fishing. We’ve got two well-stocked lakes on site, and you don’t need a licence and there's no extra charge. The kids' play area is there too, which keeps them busy.
There’s an indoor heated swimming pool on the farm that all the cottages can use. It’s in an old barn, so it’s a nice big space.
In the cottage you’ve got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs, but please keep them off the furniture.
The local shop is about a mile away in Bawdeswell. The nearest pub doing food is two miles. For a proper day out, the coast at Wells-next-the-Sea is a 25 minute drive. It’s got the beach with the famous beach huts, a nice little harbour, and a narrow-gauge railway. Sheringham and Cromer are about the same distance away.
If you’re into walking or birdwatching, the Norfolk Coast Path is easily accessible. Norwich is about a 30 minute drive if you want a city day for shopping or the castle.
