Stable Cottage 8

Stable Cottage 8 is on our farm just outside Foxley in Norfolk. It's been converted from part of the old stable block. You're on the first floor, so there's one flight of stairs to get up to it from the car park. It's all on one level once you're up there, no more stairs inside.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which we keep because it's comfortable and clean but it's not luxurious. The decor is simple. We live and work on the farm, so you might see us or the cattle about.

The main thing here is the space. There are two fishing lakes on site which are included in your stay, no extra cost. They're stocked. There's also a swimming pool, which is open in the warmer months, and a kids' play area. So if you've got children or you just want to relax without driving anywhere, it works well.

The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside the cottage.

For shops or a meal out, the nearest village is about two miles away. It's got a pub that does food. A bigger supermarket is about a 20 minute drive.

The coast is roughly half an hour by car. Wells-next-the-Sea is the closest, with a great beach and the harbour. Sheringham and Cromer are about the same distance. If you want a city day, Norwich is also about 30 minutes away. It's got the castle, shops, and all the rest.
