Dairy Cottage

Dairy Cottage is at Moor Farm, near Foxley in Norfolk. It's one of several cottages converted from old farm buildings on a working beef farm. You're in the countryside here.

The cottage sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean without being high-end. Everything you need is there.

There's a kitchen with an Aga cooker, which some people love. It takes a bit of getting used to if you haven't used one before. The heating is electric.

Being a farm, you'll hear farm noises and see the animals sometimes. The owners are about but they leave you to it. There's a kids' play area on site, which is handy if you've got children. You can also fish in the farm lakes, it's included.

A car is pretty much essential. The nearest shop is about a mile away in the village. The nearest pub doing food is a couple of miles.

For the coast, Wells-next-the-Sea is about a half hour drive. It's got a nice beach, a harbour, and the usual seaside things. Sheringham and Cromer are about the same distance in the other direction. Norwich is also about 30 minutes away if you want a city day. It's got the castle, the lanes for shopping, and plenty to see.

Facilities are what you'd expect: parking, wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
