Meadow View
This is Meadow View. It's a bungalow in Hockering, Norfolk. It's detached. You get the whole place and the garden to yourself.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and modern. It's all on one floor so no stairs to worry about.
The bathroom is new. It's got a tiled floor, a shower cubicle and a spa bath. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The garden is private. There's a patio with an awning and some furniture. We've got a veg patch and fruit trees out there. There's asparagus in spring, plums later on, and a greenhouse with grape vines. Help yourself if anything's in season when you're here.
Hockering is quiet. There's a local pub you can walk to. Dereham is the nearest town, about ten minutes by car. It's got shops and the Mid-Norfolk Railway runs from there.
The location is good for getting around. You're about half an hour from Norwich. It's a proper city. There's a castle, shops, the market, and plenty of places to eat. Norwich Castle is worth a look.
For the coast, head north. It takes about 40 minutes to get to places like Wells-next-the-Sea or Cromer. Good beaches there. The RSPB has reserves along that coast if you like birdwatching.
The Norfolk Broads are about 40 minutes east. You can hire a boat for the day there. For walks and cycling, Thetford Forest is about 45 minutes south. They've got High Lodge there with trails and a Go Ape.
Facilities: All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. The house has wifi. Sorry, no pets.
