Sewerby Hall, with its beautiful gardens, is close by as well as Bridlington with its historic harbour, refurbished Spa Theatre and Leisure World. Flamborough Head with its famous lighthouse, the RSPB Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve and Hornsea are local places of interest, whilst the stately homes of Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are a short drive.
