Swallow Cottage
It's called Swallow Cottage. It's in Little Singleton, Lancashire. A bungalow, so all on one level, which is handy. Sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms.
It's part of a small development built around a natural pond. There's swans and ducks living there, some of them are rescue birds. The garden is yours to use, it's lawned and has some furniture. It's not fully sealed off though, so if you've got a dog that likes to wander, just be aware. There's a proper enclosed dog run on the site where they can have a good run safely. You can bring two dogs.
Inside, it's fine. It's got a three star rating. It's comfortable and clean. There's a living and dining area, separate kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher. All the bedding and towels are provided. Parking right there.
The location is good. You're between the village of Singleton and Poulton-le-Fylde, which is a market town. The coast is about five miles. Blackpool is a 15 minute drive if you want the Pleasure Beach or the Tower. For a quieter beach, Cleveleys is about ten minutes away. Lytham St Annes is maybe 25 minutes, that's where the golf is.
Lots of walking and cycling from the door, around Singleton and the lanes. If you want a proper day out, the Forest of Bowland is under an hour. So are the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
