The Shippon
The Shippon is on a farm just outside Poulton le Fylde. It's a converted cattle shed, which is what 'shippon' means. It's single storey, so no stairs to worry about.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. We allow one well-behaved dog.
You've got your own parking right outside. There's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The farm is quiet but you're not remote. Poulton town centre is about a ten minute drive. It's a proper market town with butchers, bakers, and a couple of supermarkets. There are some decent pubs that do food.
Blackpool is about fifteen minutes in the car if you want the beach or the attractions. For a quieter coast, the Fylde beaches like Cleveleys are a similar distance.
For walking, you're close to the Wyre Estuary country park. The Forest of Bowland is within half an hour for more serious hikes. Lancaster and its castle are about twenty five minutes north.
