The Barn
The Barn is on a farm just outside Poulton le Fylde. It used to be part of the old farm buildings. It's all on one level, which I know is useful for some.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The shower is a walk-in wet room type. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. There's underfloor heating.
You can bring one dog. There's an enclosed garden area that's just for you, so that's handy. It looks out over the fields.
Poulton itself is a ten minute drive. It's a proper market town with the usual shops and a few pubs. The train station there gets you into Blackpool in about ten minutes, or Preston in fifteen. Blackpool is what it is. The beach is big and sandy. The Tower is there if you fancy it.
If you'd rather go the other way, the Forest of Bowland is about half an hour's drive. It's good for walking. The coast around Knott End and Fleetwood is closer, maybe twenty minutes. It's different to Blackpool, much quieter.
In the cottage, there's a washing machine, a TV, and the Wi-Fi works fine. Bedding and towels are included. We leave a cot and a highchair in there just in case. Parking is right outside.
