The Barn is a cottage for two in Poulton le Fylde. It's a single place converted from a farm building, on a quiet lane.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's been adapted to be wheelchair accessible. The entrance is level, there's a wet room on the ground floor with grab rails and a seat, and the shower is a walk-in. Everything is on one floor, so no stairs to worry about.
Inside, it's one bedroom and one bathroom. There's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Parking is right outside.
The location is handy. You're in the countryside but not isolated. Poulton town centre is about a ten-minute walk. There are shops, a few pubs that serve food, and a market. The coast at Blackpool is a short drive, maybe 15 minutes if the traffic's light.
For days out, you're close to the Fylde coast. The Ribble Estuary is good for birdwatching. Further along, you've got the Forest of Bowland, which is about half an hour's drive for walking. Blackpool needs no introduction, but Cleveleys and Fleetwood are quieter if you want a beach without the crowds.
It's a straightforward place. If you need an accessible base that's quiet but within easy reach of things, it does the job.
