Castlebar

This is Castlebar. It's a big detached house in Little Singleton, Lancashire. It sleeps up to twelve people, in six bedrooms. There are three bathrooms.

The house is set back from the main road behind a gate. There's plenty of parking, including a charger if you have an electric car.

You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure. There's a patio with a hot tub and a barbecue area.

Inside, it's spacious. The kitchen is large and has a dining table. The living room is big and comfortable. There's a separate games room with a pool table and a dartboard. The entrance hall has an old arcade machine. It all adds up to the 5 Star rating.

Two bedrooms are on the ground floor. One has its own shower room. The other four bedrooms are upstairs. The main bedroom has a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom.

For facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and Sky TV. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.

There's a shop about fifty yards away. A decent pub is a mile down the road. For a bigger supermarket or more restaurants, Poulton-le-Fylde is ten minutes away by car.

Blackpool is about five miles away, so fifteen minutes in the car. You've got all the attractions there: the Pleasure Beach, the Tower, the zoo.

If you prefer a quieter coast, Cleveleys is also five miles. Lytham St Annes is a bit further, maybe half an hour. The beach at St Annes is good.

For walking, the Forest of Bowland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is within an hour's drive. The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are also within that hour's range.

Here are some useful links if you're planning trips: Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales National Park, and Lake District National Park.
