Wharfdale Lodge is a bungalow. It's on a normal, quiet street in Thornton. It's semi-detached. Everything is on one level, so there are no stairs.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. One is a wet room with a walk-in shower. It has grab rails.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking right outside.
It's a four star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, not basic. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one dog.
Thornton itself has shops and pubs. There's a windmill and the Wyre Estuary Country Park for walks.
Cleveleys seafront is a ten minute drive or a short bus ride. It's a proper promenade with cafes. The beach is sand and shingle. They've put up some big storybook sculptures along there. The Blackpool tram runs through Cleveleys, which is handy.
Blackpool is about four miles away. You can get the tram or drive in. All the main things like the Pleasure Beach and the Tower are there.
If you drive a bit further south you get to Lytham and St Annes. They're nicer, quieter. Lytham has the festival in the summer.
Going inland, you can get to the Forest of Bowland in under half an hour. It's good for walking and has nice villages. The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are both within an hour's drive if you fancy a longer day out.
