Carr End Barn A

Carr End Barn A is just outside Stalmine. It's a semi-detached barn conversion. We call it a barn but it's more of a modern house now, really. It's got a five star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-maintained.

It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. One of them is a wet room on the ground floor, which might be useful if anyone has mobility issues. The front door is wheelchair accessible too.

The garden is big and mostly lawn. There's a decked bit with a barbecue and a private hot tub. There's also that 'Cave' thing the owner built in the garden. It's a little brick shed with heating and lights. In case you want to sit outside but not quite be outside.

The stairs inside are fine, quite normal. There's a wood burner in the main living space. The kitchen is big and has everything you'd need, dishwasher and washing machine included. We provide all the bedding and towels.

You can bring one dog. There's bike storage if you need it.

Location wise: it's quiet here. The village shop and the pub are about half a mile away. The pub does food. Poulton-le-Fylde is about five miles for bigger shops. The coast is about ten miles. Blackpool's that way, about nine miles, if you want the Tower or the Pleasure Beach. It's a different kind of place, Blackpool. You can get to Lancaster easily, or Preston.

For walking, you're near the Fylde Coast path, and the Forest of Bowland is about an hour's drive. The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are also within an hour if you fancied a day trip. Good links if you're planning: Visit Lancashire and the National Trust North West.
