Pointer Cottage is a modern cottage set back from the main road near Stalmine. It's quiet here, you just get fields and birdsong.
It's rated 4 Star, sleeps four in three bedrooms, and has two bathrooms. One is downstairs. There's one double bedroom and two small single rooms, so it works for a couple or a family. Everything's clean and new.
The main thing people like is the outside space. There's a good-sized, enclosed garden, a patio with a barbecue, and a hot tub. You get it to yourselves.
Inside is straightforward. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a wood burner in the living room. Wi-Fi works fine. There's an electric vehicle charger on the drive.
Stalmine itself is just a hamlet really. There's a pub called The Sparrowhawk about a five-minute walk away. They do food.
You're about fifteen minutes' drive from the coast. Blackpool is nine miles east for the Tower or the Pleasure Beach. The promenade at Thornton Cleveleys is closer and a bit quieter. Fleetwood has the Freeport shopping and the ferry to Knott End.
Inland, you're well placed for the Forest of Bowland. It's good walking and driving country, about forty minutes. The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are both just over an hour away by car if you fancy a longer day out. Lancaster is about twenty minutes south.
The facilities list covers most of it. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two pets. There is on-site parking.
