Classroom One
This is Classroom One. It's an old schoolroom that's been converted, on the edge of Ashmill. It's a single storey place, so no stairs to worry about.
It's just for two people. One bedroom with a king-size bed. The TV at the foot of the bed comes up on a lift, which is a neat feature. The bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen at one end, living area at the other. There are patio doors that open out onto a big covered terrace. It looks straight out over fields. You get that to yourselves.
Outside the terrace, there's a communal garden that's shared with the other cottage here, Classroom Two. It's peaceful.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well finished and comfortable. You've got WiFi, parking right outside, and all bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
You're about five minutes from Lifton, which has a shop and a couple of pubs. For a proper day out, Roadford Lake is very close. You can do water sports or just walk around it.
You're right on the edge of Dartmoor. You can be up on the high moor in about twenty minutes. Lydford Gorge is also about twenty minutes away, which is a good walk.
If you don't mind a half hour drive, you've got Launceston with its castle to the west, or Tavistock to the south. The north coast beaches like Widemouth Bay are about forty-five minutes.
