The Haven is a studio apartment on a working dairy and arable farm near Virginstow, right on the Devon and Cornwall border. It's for two people, with one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star.
It's open plan. There's a double bed, a small sofa bed suitable for a child, a kitchen area, and a table. The kitchen has a combination microwave oven and a fridge freezer. There's a TV and WiFi. Outside the door is a private terrace with a table and chairs.
You're on a farm, so you'll see and hear farm activity. There are fields to look out over. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's parking right outside.
It's a quiet spot. For a shop or a pub, you'd drive to Launceston, which is about ten minutes away. Launceston has a castle run by English Heritage.
You're in a good position for getting to both coasts. Bude and its beaches are about half an hour's drive. Dartmoor is roughly the same distance the other way, for walking. The Dartmoor National Park website has walking routes. Further into Cornwall, the Eden Project and Padstow are within an hour.
Facilities included are bedding, towels, a washing machine, a cot and a highchair. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings and a BBQ outside.
There are other cottages here on the farm. They can be booked together for bigger groups.
