Carey Meadows

Carey Meadows is in Ashmill, which is a small hamlet near Ashwater. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. It's attached to our house, but you get your own entrance and garden.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The main bedroom has an ensuite shower. One of the twins can be made into a double if you need it.

The garden is raised up. It's got a table and chairs out there. It's enclosed, so it's safe for children.

Ashwater village is about a mile and a half away. There's a community shop and a pub on the green. Both are good. The pub does food.

Roadford Lake is about a ten minute drive. They do sailing, windsurfing, and fishing there. It's a big reservoir.

The North Cornish coast is about 17 miles. Bude and Widemouth Bay have the surfing beaches. There's a lot of good walking along that coast.

For market towns, Okehampton and Launceston are about twenty minutes away. They both have castles.

Dartmoor National Park is about half an hour's drive to the south. Bodmin Moor is about the same distance to the west.

Facilities wise: there's a wood burner, a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking for two cars. There's also an electric vehicle charger. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets sorry.
