Number Three

Number Three is one of three cottages here on Adelaide Place, in Bishop Auckland town centre. It's been done up recently, so everything's clean and works properly. It has a 4 Star rating.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is upstairs, the other is a shower room on the ground floor. The garden is a courtyard out the back, fully enclosed. You get your own parking space on site.

The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.

You're right in the middle of town here, so shops and places to eat are a short walk. For a big day out, Auckland Castle is a five minute walk. It's the home of the Bishops of Durham. The grounds are good for a stroll. In summer, the Kynren show happens in the grounds there. It's a big outdoor historical performance.

If you want to get out into the countryside, Weardale is right on the doorstep. Good walking from the door, or a short drive. The River Wear is nice. The wider North Pennines area is about a 30 minute drive. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For a city day, Durham is about 20 minutes south by car. The cathedral and castle are a World Heritage Site.
