The Stables is in Bolam. It's attached to our house but you have your own entrance and a private patio garden. It's a single-storey place, so no stairs to worry about.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. We allow one well-behaved dog.
The village is quiet. You'll see horses going by on the lane. There's a pub about a hundred yards away that does food. For a shop, you'll need to drive about five miles.
It's good walking country right from the door. You can follow the footpaths into the Teesdale countryside. Raby Castle is close, about eight miles. You can see the deer in the park. Barnard Castle town is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes by car. The Bowes Museum is there.
Durham city is about a 35 minute drive if you want a day out for the cathedral and castle.
What's here: there's a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a BBQ. All bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside.
