You've got a living room, a separate snug, a kitchen, and a conservatory with a table in it. The garden's got a lawn and a patio area.
It's handy for the A1 and A68, so getting around is easy. Darlington's close if you need shops or supermarkets. Durham is about twenty minutes in the car. Bishop Auckland is nearby. That's where the Kynren show is in the summer. You need to book for that well in advance. The National Railway Museum in Shildon is also just down the road.
For walking or cycling, Hamsterley Forest is good. It's about a twenty-minute drive. They've got trails for all levels. Details here: Hamsterley Forest.
Further out, you can get to the coast, the North York Moors, or even up to Northumberland in under an hour and a half if you fancy a longer day out.
