Unwind in a peaceful, rural village high up in the magnificent North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cumbria.
Camellia Cottage is a well-equipped cottage lovingly restored with modern facilities but olde world charm. Amenities include a cosy lounge with wood burner, well equipped kitchen, four bedrooms that sleeps 8 guests, one main bathroom and a ground floor wet room with shower and handrails. The kitchen is tastefully decorated with marble worktops and modern appliances. Often referred to as England’s last wilderness, our area is a marvellous land of biodiversity.
It was Europe’s first UNESCO Geopark. Use Camellia Cottage as your base for exploring the many sights that nature has to offer around us. A short drive from the Lake District, perched high up on the border between Cumbria and Northumberland, and within easy access of the beautiful Weardale Valley and Yorkshire. The cottage comes with all mod cons including a fridge freezer, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen with Tassimo Coffee machine, Smart TV, modern electric hob and oven. We have a living room, dining room and open plan kitchen. At the back we have a patio area with BBQ facilities and outdoor dining for spring/summer months. In the front is a fully enclosed and fenced garden suitable for dogs.
We are incredibly lucky to have a massive 6-acre free dog paddock on our doorstep, about 1 minute walk from the door. Fully enclosed and perfect for reactive dogs. We also have a second dog paddock about 3 minutes’ walk across the river. Walks from the doorstep abound.
Cameillia can be booked together with Cranmore House to accommodate up to 14 guests.
