Broughton

Broughton is a farm stay cottage near Garlieston. It's detached, so no neighbours on the other side of a wall. You're out in the countryside with fields all around. The views from the windows are good.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well kept. There's a wood burning stove in the sitting room for cooler evenings. The kitchen has everything you'd need and a big dining table.

The garden is yours to use. There's parking right there. It takes up to three dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a cot and highchair if you need them.

Garlieston village is about three miles away. It's a small harbour with a beach you can walk along. For a bigger shop, Newton Stewart is about a 15 minute drive. It's got supermarkets and places to eat.

The coast here is all little bays and inlets. The beach at Port William is nice. For a proper day out, the Galloway Forest Park is inland. It's huge. If you're into mountain biking, the Kirroughtree trails are part of that. Wigtown is Scotland's book town, about 20 minutes away. Full of bookshops.

Further down the coast, Portpatrick is a pretty harbour village. The RSPB Mull of Galloway is at the very southern tip. It's good for seabirds.
