The Little House is a mid-terrace cottage in Axmouth. It’s on a quiet lane next to a stream. You can watch sheep in the fields opposite.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one shower room. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The place is comfortable and tidy. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so they’re a bit steeper than you might get in a new house.
The garden is tiered and enclosed. It’s private. There’s a seating area out there. The conservatory has French doors that open onto it.
Inside, there’s a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has what you need. There’s a Smart TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot, and a highchair. You can bring one dog.
There’s a children’s playground right opposite the house. Two pubs in the village serve food. It’s about a mile, mostly flat, to walk along the river to Axmouth Harbour and onto Seaton beach.
Seaton is the closest town, a few minutes by car. It has a beach, an esplanade, and the Seaton Tramway. The tram goes along the estuary to Colyton. It’s good if you like birdwatching or just don’t fancy driving.
You’re on the Jurassic Coast here. Within a half hour drive you’ve got Lyme Regis to the east, and Sidmouth to the west. Beer and Branscombe are close too. For a day out inland, Honiton has antique shops and cafes. Exeter is about 45 minutes.
