The Annexe
The Annexe is part of Lurley Manor, which is a 15th-century house. It’s in Lurley, which is a small hamlet in the Devon countryside.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. The main bedroom is upstairs and has a king-size bed. The second bedroom is linked to the living area and has a double. They’re set up as one space, so it’s a good layout for a family. There’s one bathroom downstairs with a shower. It’s a 3 Star place, so it’s comfortable and clean.
You get your own patio area with furniture. You also have access to about an acre of the manor’s private grounds. There are orchards and bit of woodland to walk around. It’s very quiet.
The market town of Tiverton is about a ten minute drive. They’ve got a proper high street with shops and a pannier market. The Grand Western Canal is there for walks or you can get a horse-drawn barge.
Exmoor National Park is about half an hour’s drive north. The North Devon coast, around places like Ilfracombe or Woolacombe, is also within half an hour. For a historic day out, Knightshayes is a National Trust property nearby. National Trust Knightshayes. Exmoor National Park.
Facilities: WiFi, Sky TV, bedding and towels are included, there’s parking. You can bring up to two dogs. The stairs inside are quite steep.
