May Cottage is on the edge of Warley Town, a village north of Halifax. It's a mid-terrace cottage, but it's been completely redone inside. The work finished this year.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. The main bedroom has a double bed and a sort of platform up a ladder, which is just a quiet spot to sit. The second room has two singles.
The front garden is enclosed and gets the sun most of the day. It looks onto the village playing fields, which is handy if you bring a dog. There's a decked area out the back for a morning coffee.
Inside, there's a wood-burning stove in the lounge and a large TV. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.
The pub in the village, The Maypole Inn, is a few minutes' walk away. They do good food. For a cafe and a farm shop, The Spring Head is a short drive.
You're right on the edge of the Calderdale Way for walking. Halifax is about ten minutes by car. The Piece Hall and Shibden Hall are there. Sowerby Bridge is five minutes away and has a few restaurants and bars.
Further out, Hebden Bridge is about fifteen minutes' drive. Haworth, for the Brontë stuff, is around half an hour. The moors are all around you if you want to get out walking properly.
In terms of what's here, all the bedding and towels are included. WiFi works. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
