Commons Farm Cottage is a bit of a way up out of Hebden Bridge, on a farm track. It's a 17th century stone place, attached to our house. The views are really something, right out over the hills. You get them from all the big windows.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, and there's another shower room downstairs as well. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable. It's been done up but it's still got old beams and a stone fireplace. The stairs are the original ones, so they're a bit steep and winding.
Outside, there's a stone patio. It's south facing. We've put a hot tub out there. There's a barbecue area too. You're welcome to walk around the fields. We've got some sheep and a dog.
It's quiet here, but you can walk to a pub in about ten minutes. It does food. There's a shop and post office a bit further on. To get into Hebden Bridge itself, it's about a mile and a half. You can walk it in half an hour, or the bus takes less than ten minutes. It's got all the cafes and shops you'd need.
For walking, you can pick up the Calderdale Way right from the farm. The National Trust's Hardcastle Crags is very close. The Pennine Way isn't far either. The local golf course is five minutes by car.
Haworth is about a twenty minute drive. That's the Brontë place, with the cobbled street. You can get to the edge of the Yorkshire Dales or the Peak District in about an hour if you want a day out. Hebden Bridge train station is good for Leeds or Manchester.
What's here: all the bedding and towels, WiFi, TV, a cot and highchair if needed. There's bike storage. Parking is right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
