This is Hob Cote, up at Midgehole. It's about a mile outside Hebden Bridge. A stone cottage, one of a pair. It's old, 17th century old, but we fixed it up properly a few years ago so everything works.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which covers things like the wood burner and the finishes. The stairs are steep. They're open-sided and the steps aren't all the same size. Some of the doorways are low, you'll need to duck.
Outside, there's a patio at the front that gets the sun. At the back, there's a sheltered bit with a barbecue and the hot tub. The garden goes up the hill behind. There's a little hut up there with its own wood burner, so you can sit and look over the valley even if it's raining.
You're right on the edge of Hardcastle Crags, which is National Trust land. You can walk straight into the woods from here. There's a path by the river that takes you into Hebden Bridge in about half an hour. Hebden's got all the usual shops, cafes, and a few decent pubs. It's got a train station with direct lines to Manchester and Leeds.
The Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District are both about an hour's drive if you want a day out.
What's here: parking, the hot tub, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels included. There's an electric vehicle charger. You can bring two dogs.
