Lee Cottage is in Hebden Bridge. It's a stone built, detached place. It's in a quiet spot next to our house, with good views over the fields. The garden gets the sun late into the evening.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up but we've kept some of the old features.
The cottage is between Hebden Bridge town and Heptonstall village. Both are about a mile's walk, though the path back from Heptonstall is steep. Hebden Bridge has shops, pubs and restaurants. Heptonstall feels very old, like stepping back in time.
You can walk straight from the door into the countryside. It joins onto the National Trust's Hardcastle Crags estate, which is miles of woods and paths. You can also pick up the Pennine Way and Calderdale Way from nearby.
By car, you can get to the Yorkshire Dales National Park in about half an hour. The Peak District National Park is about the same. Haworth, for the Brontë stuff, is about a 20 minute drive.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
