Sands Farm Cottage is a semi-detached stone cottage next to our house in Luddenden Foot. It's two bedrooms and sleeps four. There's two bathrooms as well, which is handy.
The views from here are really good. It looks out over the valley and fields. The garden is a nice spot when the sun's out.
Inside, it's all been done up to a high standard. It's warm, with underfloor heating and a wood burner. It's got a 5 Star rating, which just means everything is in good order and works properly. We've got solar panels and a wind turbine, so it runs a bit greener.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door onto the network of paths. The Calderdale Way and Pennine Way are right here. Hebden Bridge is about a ten minute drive away. It's a lively little town with good shops and cafes. The Hardcastle Crags estate is just outside it, which is National Trust.
You're well placed for a day out. Haworth, for the Bronte parsonage, is roughly half an hour. The Piece Hall in Halifax is about twenty minutes. For a bigger trip, the Peak District is around forty minutes' drive.
Facilities wise: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a BBQ and bike storage.
