The Coach House in Halifax. It's detached, so just you and whoever you're with. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's quiet, but you're only a mile or so out from the town centre.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Tends to be warm inside. The garden is small but it's yours to use.
You can walk into Halifax in about twenty-five minutes if you don't mind a hill. The Piece Hall is there. That's worth a look. Halifax Minster too. Lots of pubs and places to eat.
If you've watched 'Gentleman Jack', Shibden Hall is five minutes in the car. The park around it is good for a stroll. The TV people did a lot of filming there.
Ogden Water is about fifteen minutes' drive for a walk around the reservoir. Hebden Bridge is the same sort of distance. Haworth, for the Brontë stuff, is half an hour away.
If you want a big day out, the Yorkshire Dales are about an hour's drive north. You can also get a train from Halifax station. It’s a twenty minute walk from the cottage. Goes direct to Leeds or Manchester.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there on site. No pets.
