The Coach House is in Halifax, about a mile out from the town centre. It's a detached building, so it's just you. It's quiet here.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, everything works, and it's clean.
The stairs to the bedroom are quite steep. They're original. Just mind your head on the way up.
You can walk into Halifax in about 20-25 minutes. The Piece Hall is a mile away. It's worth a look. There are shops and cafes there now. The Piece Hall Halifax.
If you drive, Shibden Hall is about five minutes away. It's the one from 'Gentleman Jack'. The park around it is nice for a stroll. Shibden Hall.
Ogden Water Country Park is a 15 minute drive. Good for a walk around the reservoir. Hebden Bridge is about the same. It's got a different feel, more independent shops and cafes.
Haworth, for the Brontë Parsonage, is roughly half an hour by car. For a proper day in the Dales, Skipton is the gateway town. That's about an hour's drive. Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The train station is a 20 minute walk. You can get direct trains to Leeds or Manchester if you fancy a city day.
