Waterside Lodge Thirteen

This is Waterside Lodge Thirteen. It's a wooden lodge on a lake in Ashgrove Country Park, near Elland. The park is about 40 acres of old estate grounds. It's quiet.

The lodge is on three floors, which is a bit unusual. The main living area is on the top floor. It's open plan with big doors that open out. There's a small balcony there. The views from that floor are good, mostly over trees and water.

There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, so one each if you're a group of six. Two bedrooms are on the middle floor. The third bedroom is on the lower ground floor. You get to it from outside via some external stairs. That bedroom has its own doors opening onto a big deck by the water. It's private.

It's a 4 Star place, so it's well-finished. There's a hot tub on the deck. We include bedding and towels. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, parking. The place is all electric. We allow up to two dogs.

You're about a ten minute drive from Halifax. The nearest shop is a couple of miles away in Elland. There's a pub and a restaurant about a mile down the road. There's a lakeside bar and restaurant half a mile away that people like.

Brighouse is close. It's a proper town with a market and a train station. You can get trains to Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Leeds, and Manchester from there. Haworth, with the Brontë Parsonage, is about half an hour's drive. If you want the big parks, the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District are both under an hour and a half away.
