Waterside Lodge Three is in Elland, West Yorkshire. It's a wooden lodge set in a country park. The views over the lakes and trees are the main thing. It's quiet.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is clean and works. The layout is split over three floors. The living area is on the top floor with big doors that open onto a deck. The bedrooms are on the middle and lower floors. One of the downstairs bedrooms opens straight out onto a deck by the water.
There's a hot tub on the deck. It looks out over the water. The stairs inside are a typical lodge style, so they're a bit steeper than in a normal house.
You're in the middle of 40 acres of parkland. It feels properly rural. There's a lakeside bar and restaurant about half a mile down the road. Elland town centre is about a five minute drive. It has a very old cinema and a microbrewery. Brighouse is also five minutes the other way. It's a bit busier, with shops and a market. It has a train station with links to places like Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Leeds and Manchester.
If you're driving out for the day, Halifax is about ten minutes away. The Piece Hall there is worth a visit. So is Shibden Hall, which you might know from TV. Eureka!, the children's museum, is about fifteen minutes away. You can get to Haworth, for the Brontë connection, in around half an hour. Both the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District are within an hour and a half's drive.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
