Waterside Lodge One

Waterside Lodge One is in Elland, West Yorkshire. It's a wooden lodge on three floors, part of Ashgrove Country Park. The park is about 40 acres with lakes, canals and woods.

It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have their own shower rooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. One of the downstairs bedrooms is glass-fronted and opens straight out onto the deck by the water. That's a bit different.

The living area is on the top floor. There are big bi-folding doors that open onto a balcony. The view from up there is good, mainly trees and water. There's a hot tub on the deck downstairs.

You're about five minutes in the car from Elland and Brighouse. There's a lakeside bar and restaurant half a mile down the road. Elland has an old cinema and a microbrewery. Brighouse has a market and a train station. Trains go to places like Hebden Bridge, Halifax, Manchester and Leeds.

Halifax is about ten minutes away. The Piece Hall there is worth seeing. Shibden Hall is nearby too. If you've got kids, Eureka! The National Children's Museum is in Halifax and is about a fifteen minute drive.

Further out, you can get to Haworth, home of the Brontës, in around half an hour. The Yorkshire Dales and Peak District are both under an hour's drive.

Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are available. You can bring up to two dogs.
