Waterside Lodge Fourteen is in Elland in West Yorkshire. It's a wooden holiday lodge in Ashgrove Country Park, by some small lakes and woodland. The park is about 40 acres of old estate grounds.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's a bathroom for each bedroom, which is handy. It has a 4 Star rating.
The layout is a bit different. The main living area is on the top floor, with big doors that open onto a balcony. You get a good view from up there. The middle floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The third bedroom is on the lower ground floor. It has glass doors that open straight out onto a decked area by the water. That one's quite nice.
There's a hot tub on the decking. The lodge is semi-detached, so you have neighbours on one side.
You're about five minutes' drive from Elland or Brighouse for shops. There's a lakeside bar and restaurant about half a mile away. Elland has an old cinema and a microbrewery. Brighouse has a train station with links to places like Hebden Bridge, Halifax, Manchester and Leeds.
For days out, Halifax is about ten minutes away. The Piece Hall there is worth seeing. Eureka! The National Children's Museum is in Halifax too. Shibden Hall, from the TV show, is about fifteen minutes' drive. The Brontë Parsonage in Haworth is around half an hour away. You can get into the Yorkshire Dales or the Peak District
Facilities: parking right there, WiFi, TV, a washing machine, a woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's fishing on the lakes.
