Sycamore Barn is a barn conversion in Northowram, Calderdale. It's one of two on a site, but you'd have your own garden. There are fields and a bit of a lawn out the front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. There's a downstairs loo as well. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well finished. Underfloor heating downstairs. Big windows that look out.
The stairs are wooden and a bit open. Fine for most, but something to note if you've got very small children.
You're right on the Calderdale Way footpath, so you can walk straight from the door. Halifax town centre is about ten minutes by car. The Piece Hall is there, which is worth a look. Eureka! is good for kids.
Shibden Hall is five minutes drive. They've got the grounds and the hall itself from the 'Gentleman Jack' programme. Booking ahead online is sensible.
Hebden Bridge is about half an hour away, a bit longer if the traffic's bad. Haworth, for the Brontë Parsonage, is also within half an hour. The Yorkshire Dales and Peak District are both about an hour's drive for a proper day out.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's an electric vehicle charger on site. No pets.
