Waterside Lodge Five is one of a set of wooden lodges in Elland. It's in Ashgrove Country Park, which is a large old estate with lakes and woods. The location is quiet.
The lodge sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star, so it's well-equipped. It's on three floors. The main living area is on the top floor with big doors that open onto a balcony. The view from there is over fields and water.
Downstairs, one of the bedrooms opens straight out onto a deck by the water. It's a glass-fronted room. The hot tub is on one of the decks.
You can walk around the 40-acre parkland straight from the door. There's a lakeside bar and restaurant about half a mile down the road. Elland town is five minutes in the car for shops. It's got an old cinema and a microbrewery. Brighouse is about the same distance and has a market.
For trips out, Halifax is ten minutes away. The Piece Hall and Shibden Hall are there. Eureka! children's museum is about fifteen minutes drive. Haworth, for the Brontë connection, is roughly half an hour. You can get to the edge of the Yorkshire Dales or the Peak District in under an hour and a half. The train from Brighouse goes to Manchester, Leeds, or Hebden Bridge.
What's here: parking, wifi, a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. Two well-behaved dogs are allowed. There's an electric vehicle charger.
