Plas Isaf is in Betws Garmon. That's a small village just outside Caernarfon, in Snowdonia. It’s a detached stone cottage on a 12-acre small holding.
It sleeps nine people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The main living area is on the first floor. It's open plan, with a wood burner, a kitchen, and a big dining table. The windows look out over the fields and mountains. The stairs are normal.
Outside, there's a private garden with a patio, a covered seating area, and a hot tub. There's also a very large, sunken trampoline. The grounds have a stream and you'll see ducks, chickens, and a pony. The Welsh Highland Railway line runs along the bottom of the garden, so you'll see the occasional steam train go past.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. It's good walking country straight from the door. For Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the Llanberis Path start is about a ten-minute drive. You can also catch the mountain train from Llanberis.
Caernarfon with its castle is fifteen minutes away. Beddgelert is about twenty minutes. You can get the Welsh Highland Railway from various points nearby if you don't want to drive.
Facilities include parking, WiFi, a TV, and bed linen and towels. It’s a working farm, so you'll hear and see the animals. Up to three pets are welcome.
