Bourne Farm Cottage

Bourne Farm Cottage is in Winterborne Clenston, Dorset. It's a rural spot, quiet, towards the end of a lane. There are fields around.

The cottage sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It was renovated a couple of years ago. The kitchen is open plan with a big table, a dishwasher, and a coffee machine. The living room has a wood burner.

There's a patio area outside with a table, chairs, and a gas barbecue. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have dogs or children. You get a hot tub, which is set to one side overlooking the fields.

You can bring up to four dogs. They're not allowed on the furniture or upstairs, but there's a utility area for drying coats and things. There's also bike storage.

For local amenities, you'll need to drive. The nearest pub is about a mile and a half away in Winterborne Zelston. It's a proper country pub, does food. Dorchester is the main town, maybe a fifteen minute drive. They've got supermarkets, shops, a cinema. You can get to the coast in about half an hour.

If you want to explore, the Jurassic Coast is within easy reach. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are probably 40 minutes away. Weymouth is similar, sandy beach there. For walking, the South West Coast Path is obvious, but there are good inland walks too, like around the Hardy Monument.

Other things nearby: the Tank Museum at Bovington is about twenty minutes away. Monkey World is a bit further, maybe 35 minutes. There's a golf course about ten minutes away by car.

Facilities included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, TV, washing machine, cot and highchair available. Parking for two, maybe three cars if you arrange them carefully.
