The Haybarn

The Haybarn is over near Ibberton in Dorset. It's a detached barn conversion, so you're on your own. It's a recent conversion, done in 2021, so everything's fairly new.

It's an upside-down house. The bedrooms and the bathroom are downstairs. There's a king-size room and a twin room. The bathroom has a shower. The kitchen's down there too, with a dishwasher and a washing machine. Upstairs is the living room, which is big and light. The ceiling's high with old oak beams. It's a good room for everyone to be in. There are doors out to a small balcony that faces east, so it gets the morning sun. Useful for a coffee.

Outside, you've got your own bit of garden with a table and chairs. It gets the afternoon and evening sun. There's a barbecue you can use. You can also walk into the owner's field next door. It’s quiet.

The local pub, The Ibberton, is about an eight-minute walk. It's only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for lunch, so you'd need to plan for that. There are other pubs a short drive away.

For days out, you're near the Wessex Ridgeway for walking. The coast, with places like Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, is about 40 minutes in the car. Blandford Forum is 15 minutes away for shops. There are a few National Trust places within half an hour, like Kingston Lacy. The Dorset Heavy Horse Farm is good if you've got kids.

The place sleeps four. It's got a 4 Star rating. Two pets are allowed. There's parking for one car by the barn. A cot and highchair are here if you need them.
