Jasmine Cottage is in Sturminster Newton, Dorset. It's one of a pair of old stables that we converted. They're single-storey, so everything is on the ground floor. That's good if stairs are a problem.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. We've got it rated as 4 Star. It's clean and comfortable. You can bring one dog.
The cottage is in the grounds of our house, but it's your own space. You get a private patio area. We've got about an acre of garden and meadow that you're welcome to use, and it looks out over the River Stour and Newton Mill. It's quiet here.
There's a pub that does food about 200 yards away in the hamlet. The proper town of Sturminster Newton is about half a mile for shops. It's a working market town, not a tourist place, which we like.
For days out, you're in a good spot. Sherborne and Blandford Forum are about 15 minutes' drive. Both have all the usual shops. Sherborne has a castle and an old abbey. Stourhead is about half an hour away, the gardens are famous. The coast at Poole or Weymouth is under an hour. Kingston Lacy house is another good National Trust one, about 40 minutes.
Facilities: it's all included. WiFi, TV, bedding and towels, washing machine. There's a cot if you need it. Parking is right outside the cottage.
