Jasmine Cottage
Jasmine Cottage is a converted stable on one floor, so there aren't any stairs. It's all on one level. It's one of two cottages next to each other, but you get your own patio and garden.
It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's in our garden, which is over an acre of meadow that goes down to the River Stour. You look out at Newton Mill. It's quiet.
It's on the edge of Sturminster Newton, near the town centre. There's a pub serving food about 200 yards away. The town shop is half a mile.
You're right in the middle of the Blackmore Vale. It's good for walking along the river or cycling. Sturminster has a famous working watermill you can visit. For a bigger day out, Sherborne and Blandford Forum are about a 15 minute drive. Shaftesbury is similar, maybe 20 minutes.
There are a lot of big historic houses nearby if that's your thing. Stourhead is about half an hour's drive. So is Kingston Lacy. The Dorset coast, like Lulworth Cove or Weymouth, is roughly 40 minutes to an hour away depending on traffic.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, wifi, a cot if you need it, and all bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
