The Studio

The Studio is our place in Ibberton. It's a converted barn, detached, so it's just you. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and done properly.

You walk straight into the kitchen. There's a shower room on that floor too. Upstairs is all one room: the bed, the sofas, and the wood burner are all there. The main window is the full length of the wall and looks out over fields. You'll see sheep and maybe a horse. The stairs are a spiral, so they're a bit tight.

Outside, there's a private garden at the back with a table. It's a good spot in the evening.

You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the cottage, WiFi, and a smart TV.

The village pub is about a five minute walk. It's open Thursday to Sunday. There are others a short drive away if you want more choice. The nearest shop is about two miles, in Hazelbury Bryan.

For walking, the Wessex Ridgeway trail is on the doorstep. You're about a 35 minute drive from the coast at the Jurassic Coast, for places like Lulworth Cove. A bit closer, there are National Trust sites like Kingston Lacy and the Cerne Abbas Giant. Blandford Forum is the nearest town for museums and a brewery tour.

If you like horses, there's a heavy horse farm near the coast. For other activities, Gorcombe has go-karting and paintballing.
