Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is one of two stable conversions here. They're next to each other but separate. It's on our land, about an acre of garden and meadow by the River Stour. You look out over the water towards Newton Mill.

It's all on one floor, which is handy. Sleeps three in two bedrooms. One double, one single. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. We allow one well-behaved dog.

The pub is really close, about 200 yards. It does food. The local shop is a half mile walk.

You're in a good spot for getting about. Sherborne and Blandford are close. The coast at Poole or Weymouth is about an hour's drive. There are lots of big houses and gardens to visit if you like that sort of thing. Stourhead is probably the most famous, about half an hour away. Kingston Lacey is similar distance.

For facilities, you've got parking right outside. There's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. The garden space is shared with the other cottage but it's big enough to find your own spot. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it.
