The New Inn Barn

The New Inn Barn is in Marnhull, Dorset. It's a converted barn, set back from the road. You've got your own enclosed garden at the back with a hot tub. There's also a big shared meadow out the front if you want a kickabout.

It sleeps four, in two king-size bedrooms. They both have their own bathroom, which is handy. There's also a sofa bed in the living room for two more people, so it can stretch to six if needed. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, clean and modern inside.

The stairs inside are a standard sort of spiral staircase. They're fine, but something to be aware of if you've got very small children or mobility issues. The entrance and main living space are all on one level though.

The village pub, The New Inn, is about a 15 minute walk away. It serves food. There's a shop about half a mile for basics.

For days out, you're well placed. Sherborne with its abbey is about 20 minutes by car. Shaftesbury and its famous Gold Hill is about the same. The coast is a bit further: the Jurassic Coast around Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door is about a 40 minute drive. Weymouth is just under an hour.

If you're into stately homes, Stourhead is roughly 25 minutes away. Longleat Safari Park is about 35 minutes. For something different, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is about half an hour.

The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right by the barn.
