The Art Studio Langton Long Blandford

The Art Studio is just outside Blandford Forum, in a little place called Langton Long. It was my grandad's woodwork shed, years ago. I converted it ten years back. It's all on one floor, which is handy.

It sleeps two, one bedroom. There's a shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which basically means it's comfortable and well looked after. The kitchen and living space are all open plan. It's small, but it's got everything you need. There's a TV, wi-fi, and a little patio out the back with a BBQ. You can park right outside.

It's quiet out here. You're in the countryside, so you get the fields and the sky. It's a good spot if you want to just switch off. You can bring one dog. The garden is shared, but it's a big plot so it's not an issue.

The pub in Blandford St. Mary is about a mile and a half walk down the lane. It does food. For a shop, you'll need to drive into Blandford Forum, which is two miles. It's a proper market town with a Waitrose and some decent places to eat.

If you want to get out, the National Trust has a few places nearby like Kingston Lacy. The Jurassic Coast is about a forty minute drive. You can be at Poole Harbour or the New Forest in half an hour. For walking, the North Dorset Trailway is good, or you can head up to Hod Hill.

What’s in the cottage: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine. I can put a travel cot or a highchair in if you let me know beforehand.
