Tarrant Valley House - Sleeps 14 Tarrant Launceston

Tarrant Valley House is a big place near Blandford Forum. It's on a working farm, but the house and garden are separate. It's actually a main farmhouse that sleeps twelve, and a separate apartment next door that sleeps another two. That makes fourteen in total. Something to be aware of: if you're a group of twelve exactly, you'll have to use both houses. It's all yours though.

There are seven bedrooms and every single one has its own bathroom. That's seven bathrooms. Some have showers, three have freestanding baths as well. They're all nice rooms, comfortable. Six of the bedrooms have TVs.

The main house has a big kitchen with an Aga. The dining room has high ceilings and glass doors out to the terrace. There's a huge family room with a big corner sofa and a fireplace. Then there's a separate, more formal sitting room. It's well set up for a big group, so people can spread out.

Outside there's a large walled garden and an orchard. There's a play area, a tree swing, and a big lawn. Indoors, there's a swimming pool and a sauna.

For things like TV, there are large screens with Netflix. There's a Wii console and a Sonos sound system for music.

It's a 5 star place, which shows in the space and the facilities. It's clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. It's not cheap, but you get what it says.

The village has a pub about five minutes' walk away. For anything else, you'll need to drive. Blandford Forum is close by for shops.

You're right in Dorset countryside here. The National Trust has a lot of properties nearby like Kingston Lacy. The Jurassic Coast at Studland or Lulworth is within a 30 minute drive. Poole Harbour and the Purbecks are also easily reachable for a day out.

Practical stuff: WiFi is included. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. The electricity and utilities are all included in the price.
