Gooseberry Lodge

Gooseberry Lodge is in Tollard Royal. It's on a big old private estate, about 8000 acres. It's a working farm and you're free to walk around it. The lodge is detached and you're on your own, but our house is nearby if you need anything.

It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. The entrance and shower are wheelchair friendly.

You've got your own patio area. It looks out over the estate grounds. It's very quiet. The village itself is small, just a few houses really. The pub is about a mile away. It's ancient, from around 1300.

Because you're on the estate, you've got fishing on site. There's also a golf course and a riding stables here if you want to use them.

Salisbury is about half an hour's drive. The cathedral is worth seeing. Stonehenge is about twenty minutes away. So is the stone circle at Avebury. They're both managed by English Heritage.

Facilities are what you'd expect. There's a TV, WiFi, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can take one well-behaved dog.
