Edgecoombe is a bungalow. It's detached and sits on its own in a farmyard, out in the fields. You look out the windows and it’s just hills. The garden is yours. It’s a patio garden. There’s parking right outside.
It sleeps five people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. That’s a shower, not a bath. It’s got a two star rating. That means it’s comfortable and clean, but things might be a bit older. The toilet is separate from the bathroom.
Because it’s on a working farm, you will get the usual farm noises and smells sometimes. Tractors go past. That’s just how it is.
You can bring two dogs if you want. There’s bedding and towels for everyone, and a washing machine and dishwasher. The heating is storage heaters. And there’s a woodburning stove in the sitting room, which makes it nice in the evenings. We leave you a starter pack of logs.
The farm track to the main road isn’t tarmacked, it’s compacted stone. It’s fine for normal cars, just a bit bumpy and dusty in dry weather.
The village pub is about a mile away, down a lane. It does food. The market town is Shaftesbury, which is about three miles. That’s where you go for supermarkets, cafes, and the famous Gold Hill. You’ve also got an indoor pool and sauna complex nearby, and a golf course.
