Pond Sedgehill

The Pond is on Whitebridge Farm, near Sedgehill. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's good if you don't want stairs.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not palatial. You get your own garden, which is enclosed. There's parking right outside.

The farm isn't working anymore, it's just cottages now. There are a few other cottages around a grassy courtyard, but yours is separate. The place is quiet. There's a kids' play area on site, and a field next door for walking dogs. You can bring up to two pets.

You're in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good walking and cycling right from the door. The South Wiltshire and Dorset cycle ways are close by.

The local shop and pub are about a mile away. Shaftesbury is a short drive. That's where the famous Gold Hill is, the steep cobbled one from the old bread advert. You can walk the town trail there.

Within half an hour you can get to a lot. Stourhead house and gardens are nearby. So is the Old Wardour Castle. For electric cars, there are two fast chargers about a seven minute walk away, at a good deli.

Further out, you've got Salisbury, Bath, and the coast at Weymouth within about an hour. Stonehenge and the Avebury stone circle are both in reach too.

Inside, it's open plan. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. There's a BBQ.
