Clunie Dam Lodge is a lodge near Pitlochry, just into the Highlands. It’s on the edge of Loch Tummel. The main thing is the view. It looks straight down the loch to the hills. You can’t really get a better view than that.
It sleeps six, three bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s very well finished and everything is provided.
The property is set back in its own bit of land, about four acres. There’s a path down through the trees to the loch edge. You have your own access for kayaking or swimming. The water is cold, by the way.
Outside there’s a Finnish sauna with glass walls, so you get the view while you’re in there. Next to it is a wood-burning hot tub and an outdoor shower. There’s also a stone fire pit and BBQ for cooking outside.
Inside, there’s a log burner. It’s got underfloor heating too. There are books and board games. The WiFi works fine.
Pitlochry is about ten minutes’ drive. You’ve got shops, cafes, the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, and the Blair Athol distillery there. You’re right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. You can walk or cycle straight from the door. Golf at Blairgowrie is about twenty minutes away.
Facilities wise: it’s got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking for a couple of cars on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
