Family Lodge No. 2 The Place Downstairs
This is Family Lodge Number Two, one of the old hunting lodges at the Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry. It's for three people, in one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The layout is the main thing to know. The living area is upstairs. You get the views from there. The bedroom is downstairs. The stairs are fine, just typical lodge stairs.
You have access to all the hotel facilities. That includes the swimming pool, the gym, the sauna, and the restaurants. It's a short walk up to the main hotel building. The grounds are large and good for a stroll. The town centre of Pitlochry is about a ten-minute walk down the hill.
In the lodge itself, you've got a patio area, a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
For things to do locally, Pitlochry Festival Theatre is in town. There's fishing and walking around Loch Faskally. Golf is nearby. You're well placed for touring Highland Perthshire. Within half an hour you can drive to Queen's View, the Pass of Killiecrankie, or Blair Castle.
