The White House is that old cottage next to the small brewery, just outside Pitlochry. It's detached, so you're on your own. The garden's yours too.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 2 Star rating. That means it's a bit dated but everything works, and it's clean. The ceilings are low in some rooms because it's from the 1600s. There are a couple of steps between rooms inside, just so you know.
The pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food. The nearest shop is in Pitlochry, which is under a mile. It's a proper town with butchers, bakers, and a small supermarket. The Pitlochry Festival Theatre does summer shows.
You can walk straight from the door. Paths go along the river and into the woods. For fishing, there's the River Tummel. For golf, there's a course at Pitlochry Golf Club.
In the car, you're about half an hour from things like Blair Castle and the Queen's View. There are a lot of distilleries around here if that's your thing. Further afield, you can get to the Cairngorms or over to the coast at places like Dunkeld within the hour.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a woodburning stove, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for two cars on the gravel drive. You can bring two dogs. We've got a cot and a highchair if needed.
