Black Spout Cottage
Black Spout Cottage is on the lane to Edradour Distillery, just outside Pitlochry. It's a semi-detached cottage, quiet, with views from the back towards the distillery and hills. You get the garden to yourselves.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well-equipped and comfy. The main bedroom is a double. The second has a double and a single bed, useful if you've got a child.
Outside there's a patio that gets the afternoon sun, and a raised deck with a hot tub looking out over the view.
The kitchen has what you need. There's a wood burner in the sitting room. The wifi works fine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for one car. You can bring up to two dogs.
You're right on the Pitlochry Path network. The path to the Black Spout Waterfall starts practically at the gate. It's a good walk, through the woods. You can walk into Pitlochry itself via Moulin if you don't mind a bit of a hike.
Pitlochry is about a five minute drive. It's a proper town with shops, cafes, and the Festival Theatre. The dam and fish ladder are interesting if you like that sort of thing.
If you want to explore, the Queen's View over Loch Tummel is about twenty minutes by car. Dunkeld is about half an hour south. For a big day out, you can be at the edge of the Cairngorms National Park in under half an hour.
