Black Spout Cottage is in Milton of Edradour. That's a small hamlet just outside Pitlochry. It's semi-detached. The setting is quiet, up a private lane.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms. One with a double bed, the other has a double and a single. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has good facilities.
You've got a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen leads out to a raised deck. The hot tub is out there too. The view from the deck looks towards Edradour Distillery and the hills. There's also a sunroom at the front that gets the afternoon sun.
The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs.
You're right on the Pitlochry Path network. The walk to Black Spout Waterfall starts practically from the door. It's a dramatic walk, quite steep in parts. There are other woodland walks from there too.
Pitlochry is about a five minute drive. It's a handy town with shops, places to eat, and the festival theatre. The dam and fish ladder are interesting if you like that sort of thing.
For walks, Ben Vrackie is a proper hill you can climb. It's about a 15 minute drive to the start. The area is good for fishing, golf, and cycling if that's your thing.
In the facilities, you've got the basics covered: parking, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. The electricity is paid for.
Useful links for planning: National Trust for Scotland Perthshire and Cairngorms National Park. The park boundary isn't far, about a 30 minute drive north.
